Artist's Description

The City of Mobile Alabama has a long maritime history with its deep water port on Mobile Bay. It is one of the busier ports on the Gulf Coast and a busy manufacturing hub where the US Navy's Littoral combat vessels are built.

The USS Mobile, CL-63, was a light cruiser launched during WWII and served gallantly in the Pacific Theater during the war.
