Description
Brooklyn Bridge
Today's twelve lane super highways move a lot of traffic. They are marvels of modern engineering often spanning beautiful waterways with immense superstructure bridges. While beautiful in their own way these highways and bridges more often than not are great sources of stress for daily commuters. The Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn New York is a beautiful span but if you drive across it on a regular basis you have probably waited hours just for the privilege.
This bridge is also a "Brooklyn Bridge" of sorts. Brooklyn is a small Alabama town that brings us back to a simpler time. You can eat lunch in Feagans General store. Of course your only choice is the meal they have prepared for their loyal customers that day but thats OK because it is always delicious. When you get done eating you can stock up on some groceries and fishing supplies and head out to one of the local ponds or rivers and catch dinner.
Just a stones through outside Brooklyn, (the one in Alabama) you will find Bull Slough Road. Just a short drive down the one lane dirt road you will find the Bull Slough Road Bridge across the beautiful Sepulga River. You can see an alligator sunning himself on the shore. The moss and ferns flourish along the limestone banks. Yes, the bridge is still in use today but the only traffic delay here is having to wait for Mrs. K to cross the one lane bridge on her way to the bus stop a mile up the road. You raise your hand from the wheel as she passes by and you take your turn on your way for a lazy day on the beaver pond.
