Every year we use the memory aid Fall Back to remember which way to set our clocks at the end of daylight savings time. What if we set the clocks back further than one hour? This image shows the clock in a classic 1951 Ford Coupe. Perhaps if we could set time back further than one hour we could see the rusted dash transform into a sparkling new car that someone was so proud to own in the early 50s. Perhaps we could go back in time and hold onto those opportunities missed in our own lives. Perhaps.... When it comes down to it though, the past is the past and I believe we are always right where we should be. In the case of this 51 Ford I find beauty in the texture of the rust and a clock that has long since stopped working. Maybe it was beautiful in its younger days but much like a person, I find even more beauty with the passage of time. The coupe has earned it's rust just as we have earned our wrinkles and with them our wisdom.
